Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin's vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.We are seeking an analytical, creative, and forward-thinking Payroll Accountant to join our team and will report into the Senior Manager. This position will focus on improving the quality and efficiency of labor accounting processes and reporting requirements. In this hands-on position, you will work with the Senior Manager to drive change, improve controls, and influence decisions through process improvement, financial analysis, and metrics. This position is charged with meeting company and departmental goals while focusing on compliance with company and departmental policies and procedures. You will work with internal and external business partners to ensure workforce labor is recorded completely, accurately, and timely.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Responsibilities:Process, record, and draft reports for labor transactions across the organization.Prepare labor accruals for our employee and contingent labor workforce.Perform reconciliations and analytics, determine root cause of variances, and recommend solutions.Provide guidance to internal and external business partners to address labor inquiries.Ensure controls are appropriately preformed and monitor compliance to relevant accounting standards.Qualifications:3+ years of accounting experience to include labor transactionsUndergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, or other highly analytical field.Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.Exhibits a proactive attitude with a sense of urgencyAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills.Intermediate proficiency in Excel.Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Desired:Experience with Costpoint, Blackline, or similar systemsITAR RequirementsTo conform to U.S. Government commercial space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), 8 U.S.C. - 1324b(a)(3), applicants for employment at Blue Origin must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawfully admitted for permanent residence into the U.S. (i.e. current green card holder), or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum under 8 U.S.C. - - 1157-1158. - - Learn more about the ITAR -here. -Equal Employment OpportunityBlue Origin is proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer and is committed to attracting, retaining, and developing a highly qualified, diverse, and dedicated work force.
