Principal Structural Integrity Lead Engineer - New Glenn Kent,

part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you
will be responsible for Structural Integrity on New Glenn. The
responsibilities cover two areas - strength
analysis/validation/test, and Fatigue/damage tolerance. You will
assist the design teams in their structural analysis and test
activities, ensuring compliance with standards, consistency in
approach, and more. You will be responsible for facilitating the
development of fatigue and damage tolerance tools and processes as
well as occasionally performing fracture analysis in the
development of various spaceflight systems. This position will
directly impact the history of space exploration and will require
your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and
repeatable spaceflight. Additional responsibilities include:
- Interface with structural analysis and design organizations,
materials & processes, structural test laboratories, flight test,
manufacturing and customers/regulation authorities.
- Review, guide, and occasional execute static, fatigue and
damage tolerance analysis of primary and secondary launch vehicle
- Improving enterprise analysis capabilities by facilitating
development of stress, fatigue and fracture analysis automation
tools and fracture criticality screening criteria.
- Mentoring designers and junior structural analysts in strength,
fatigue and damage tolerance best practices.
- Supporting configuration development and trade studies.
- Maintain and report on activity schedule, budget and technical

and vision is required! Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in engineering and 15+ years of experience with
aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle structures.
- Comprehensive understanding of linear-elastic fracture
- Demonstrated experience on launch vehicles, aircraft, or other
aerospace structures in several of the following areas:
- Vehicle load path definition and strength analysis/test;
- Analysis experience in DaDT methods, crack growth assessment
(hand calcs, NASGRO, VCCT), failsafe/safe-life approaches, residual
strength, flight load spectra and aircraft repair servicing.
- Flight data reduction, exceedance curve development, and
fatigue spectrum generation.
- Applied experience in fracture testing: sub-scale and
full-scale fatigue testing, coupon testing, damage inspection.
- Experience in damage tolerance NDE/NDI/repair and failure
theories in non-metallic materials such as sandwich structures,
carbon fiber laminate, bonded structures, etc.
- Demonstrated expertise with one or more of the following
analysis codes: NASGRO, AFGRO, Nastran, Ansys, Abaqus, LS-Dyna,
- Familiarity with FAR 2X.571 and/or NASA5019A
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional
