Job Description:
Hypertherm is seeking a Global Service Engineer for our Kent,
Washington location.The ideal candidate will serve as a critical
support partner and advisor to the company's regional Technical
Service teams in the areas of new product development and training,
major product issue resolution, internal and external product
change communication, technology knowledge advancement, and
cross-service continuous improvement activities. This is an
exciting role that will work in partnership with multiple teams to
shape and advance Hypertherm Technical Service capabilities on our

our business as a Global Service Engineer:Promote the voice of
service and our customers during new product development to ensure
a perspective on serviceability and customer ease of use is
incorporated.Develop, implement, manage, and support technical
training programs which will meet Hypertherm's internal (and
external) needs for technical training.Partner with regional
service leaders to coach and mentor service team members across the
range of technology and job skills needed to advance global service
capabilities.Collaborate with the product and regional teams on the
collection and analysis of field data needing advanced
resolution.Be involved in the creation, capture, and integrity of
information and data for the global service knowledgebase as well
as database evolution and structure.Research, develop and document
troubleshooting tools and techniques for use across the Technical
Service Organization, External Partners, or customers to
effectively diagnose problems and expedite problem resolution.Serve
as a project leader on continuous improvement initiatives driving
greater service effectiveness and all stakeholder satisfaction.Who
you are and what you bring:BS in Mechanical or Electrical
Engineering and 5+ years of technical service experience, or AS in
Engineering and 10+ years technical service experience.Advanced
Troubleshooting SkillsSafely, effectively, and efficiently operates
all (product) equipment in lab or industrial environments.Ability
to display professional confidenceAbility to work
independentlyExcellent verbal and written communicationDemonstrated
group training and presentation capabilityEffective multi-tasking
and time management skillsExperience professionally managing
conflict situations and difficult customer conversationsExpert with
a service documentation systemExpert knowledge of all (product)
