Job Summary: We are looking for an ambitious and seasoned leader to build out and develop a world-class retail experience covering 50+ mobile retail pop-up events a year, while growing our brick-and-mortar presence - in the U.S. and abroad. In this role you will build an inclusive and welcoming environment for all things pickleball. You will partner with internal and external partners to develop dynamic customer experiences that engage and educate existing and potential customers by featuring our best-in-class vendor selection and utilizing visual merchandizing solutions that drive engagement, traffic, conversion, and revenue. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, self-directed, and enthusiastic, with a track record of managing multiple projects with varying deadlines. The work will be wide and varied, the pace will be fast, and you'll have a chance to own, grow and define the retail group at Pickleball Central. Responsibilities : Drive the strategic vision and growth of Pickleball Central's retail group Develop and execute a profitable retail strategy Build infrastructure and team to operate pop-up stores in over 50 locations annually Identify brick and mortar retail opportunities in US and abroad - from scratch or through acquisition Create annual budgets, implement KPIs, own the P&L Work with product management team to determine optimal merchandise offerings Collaborate with the marketing team to maximize customer traffic at retail locations Manage sales and inventory tracking and reporting processes Partner with human resources to effectively staff retail locations and traveling teams Work with our internal and external partners to exceed expectations Champion PickleballCentral brand by delivering best-in-class customer experiences Qualifications: Deep experience in the retail environment including mobile/pop-up retail or retail tours Background in managing multi-location infill and shipping logistics for retail tours or comparable experience Proven track record of delivering innovation and excellence Excellent attention to detail Tech competent Polished written and oral communication skills Strong problem-solving skills, analytical, and business judgment Ability to travel in support of pop-up events approx. 25% of time Entrepreneurial spirit to manage hurdles and grow a profitable business Desired Team Member Qualities: Work with a dynamic team build around communication, participation Autonomous and self-motivated with promised follow through Collaborative and a team player Learning mindset vs. Fixed Mindset - relentlessly driven, always learning Ability to adjust pace/highly flexible and adaptable to challenges Skilled communicator to manage expectations and provide line of site Anticipates challenges and adjusts, ideates, and communicates accordingly Can balance the macro and the micro No ego Location : The work is mostly remote; however, we are looking to a team member to live in the greater Seattle-Tacoma area to be available for periodic in person trainings and meetings. A relocation package may be offered to the right candidate.
