As part of a hardworking and accomplished team of specialists, you will develop, implement, and standardize risk management processes in support of development and operation of sub-orbital and orbital spacecraft and launch vehicles and ground facilities across the company. You will report to the Director of Continuous Improvement. You will directly impact the future of space flight and help us make progress towards our mission of building the road to space through reusable rockets. Implement, grow and mature risk processes across the business units and identify continuous improvement opportunities. Train, coach and collaborate with risk managers and engineers on characterizing programmatic (cost, schedule, technical) and safety (loss of life, injury) risks to programs and projects. Work with Business Units to identify, analyze, plan, track, control, and communicate top risks and establish mitigation plans. We perform self-assessments of business unit risk management execution against company level policy and procedure. We work with Mission Assurance Directors to establish appropriate review programmatic and technical risks. Collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management in areas of overlapping scope, process, tool usage and opportunities. Establish metrics that effectively measure and improve performance of risk processes.. In this role, we actively maintain and promote a healthy mission assurance and safety culture!. Qualifications:. Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or related field. 2+ years engineering experience in the aerospace or other safety industry; 3+ years in project management, risk management, safety and/or reliability engineering; 10-15+ years overall experience. Strong safety and project management fundamentals. Outstanding communication and teamwork skills to work with senior management, engineers, lawyers, and employees. Understand and demonstrate multiple risk identification techniques. Consistent record in developing and implementing short-term and long-term strategies to realize results. Highly organized, excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills, and ability to earn the trust of partners. Ability to work independently and with others on rapid development programs. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.. Experience with risk management, implementation and databases. Experience with modelling and tool development (e.g. Tableau, Jira, Confluence). Experience in cross-functional team management and facilitation.
