Hexcel is currently seeking a Facilities Manager for our Kent, WA, USA location. The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations: * Works closely with operations, engineering, and management to resolve maintenance issues and recommend actions to continuously improve equipment operation. Directs, coordinates and manages the activities of the facilities organization including hourly union maintenance team and facilities technical team to promote high performance and ensure compliance to company policies, procedures, safe work practices, and reliable operation of equipment. * Manages Capital Projects for the facility as well as facilities department labor, materials, and contracts budget. Reviews new equipment design and modifications with engineering to ensure maintainability and reliability can be achieved in an economic and efficient manner to meet design criteria within applicable laws and regulations. Maintains appropriate equipment, facility, and cost records to accurately represent as-built conditions, and to permit accurate cost reporting. * Ensures that maintenance supports the resolution and correction of safety and environmental issues throughout the plant in timely manner and with a sense of urgency. Ensures the effective planning and scheduling of critical work orders and PM's to achieve timely completion. Confers with operators, engineering, and management to resolve maintenance problems, and recommends measures to improve equipment reliability. Proactively communicates maintenance issues to other departments to minimize disruptions to production and on-time delivery. * Responsible for maintaining the maintenance departments KPI's and the continued effort to improve them to achieve "World Class" performance. Establishes and maintains key metrics, including staffing plan, for the maintenance function. Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities as required, supporting overall plant metrics. Establishes an effective Total Productive Maintenance Program (TPM), including predictive and preventative maintenance. Responsible for the establishment of SOP for tasks being executed by the craftspeople. * Proactively supports and complies with Process Safety Management and Safety and Environmental Management System initiatives and requirements. Contributes to the minimization of waste generation and usage of natural resources, including water, natural gas, and electricity. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university - preferably with an engineering focus in electrical, mechanical, civil, industrial, or aerospace. * Minimum of five (5) years' experience working in a manufacturing environment including experience in a management or supervisory role. * Experience managing Capital Projects and creating expenditure requests. Must have a record of demonstrated project management skills relative to major facility projects in a manufacturing environment. Six Sigma Certification preferred. * Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Outlook. AutoCAD or equivalent software experience also preferred. * Familiarity with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) software and multi-axis machining centers a plus. Maximo is strongly desired.
