Umpqua Bank Frontline Incentives Manager in Kent , Washington
JOB SUMMARYOversees frontline incentive planning and alignment to
strategic goals and/or objectives. Engages with executive level
line of business leaders to provide strategic direction during
incentive planning and at regular intervals to discuss plan
performance. Provides consultation to executive and senior level
managers, along with People Strategies, to determine what plans are
most appropriate for job positions. Provides operational oversight
of the SPM software solution and risk management efforts.Direct
incentive program vision and technology solution management to
deliver enterprise incentive results.Develop strong partnerships
between sales, strategy and business leaders to champion associate
engagement and understanding of incentive programs.Lead incentive
plan design process and incentive program support for business
leaders to ensure frontline performance is aligned to overarching
Bank strategies.Oversee and promote a change management discipline
to ensure efficient and effective utilization of the sales
performance management (SPM) technology team.Drive continuous
improvement methodologies to support operational excellence and
advance enterprise performance insights.Monitor and manage sales
practice risks related to incentive plans.Demonstrates compliance
with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to
designated job responsibilities - knowledge may be gained through
coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation
changes.Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance
regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific
training.Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies
and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC,
Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to
this job description.May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others
and teach coursework as subject matter expert.Takes personal
initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate.May
perform other duties as assigned.EducationBachelor's Degree,
requiredMaster's Degree, preferredExperience4-7 years of
operational, sales, or technology experience in financial services
or banking, required2-4 years of supervisory/management experience,
requiredSkillsAdvanced Expertise in incentive compensation. Plan
design, cost/benefit analysis, plan documentation, procedures,
review/approval process, compliance, financial accrual, system
automation, training collateral, training delivery and
tracking/reporting.Ability to present to large audiences including
executives and associates of multiple business unitsRequires a
demonstrated ability to manage projects within time and budget
constraints.Ability to maintain and reinforce confidentiality of
data relating to employee compensation (salary, commission, and/or
incentives earnings).Knowledge of development concepts and
practices (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall), applications, and customer
requirements is preferred.Ability to manage complex projects and
vendor relations.Ability to work effectively with individuals and
groups across the company to manage customer
relationships.Demonstrated ability to lead/influence others to
achieve goals. Excellent negotiating skills. In-depth knowledge of
"best practices" in industry and program area.Excellent written and
verbal communication skills.
