The Boeing Company is looking for a Lab Operations Technician (Associate or Mid-Level) to join our team in Kent, WA. This position will support testing in our P-8 system development laboratories. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing attitude, the willingness to learn a complex system, and thrive under pressure. We seek energetic, enthusiastic, team-oriented individuals to join our high performance teams.

This position is primarily 1st shift; however, working in a rotation on 2nd shift may be required to support program objectives.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate or Mid-LevelLevel Lab Operations Technicians.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Plans, conducts and documents tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies
  • Designs, fabricates, builds and analyzes test systems, materials, components, software and methodologies
  • Coordinates test requirements, determines test methods and capabilities
  • Conducts system test preparations by coordinating system integration, fabrication, modification, setup, checkout and teardown
  • Conducts tests, analyzes data and documents results; participates in test readiness reviews
  • Troubleshoots and resolves laboratory and test-related problems
  • Coordinates test laboratory activities and maintenance and repairs
  • Works under general direction This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
    • 1+ years of experience with lab test, flight test, or systems test
    • Experience coordinating maintenance and repairs with test laboratory equipment Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
      • 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
      • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
      • Associate's degree or higher
      • Experience following processes, procedures, and specifications
      • Experience using Microsoft Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
      • Experience documenting and clearly communicating test results to customers
      • Experience performing laboratory testing to standards (i.e. ASTM, SAE)
      • Experience interacting with customers to coordinate testing requirements and schedule Typical Education/Experience:

        Associate (level 2)

        Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).

        Mid-Level (Level 3)

        Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

        Relocation:

        Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

        Summary pay range for associate level: $51,000-$69,000

        Summary pay range for mid-level: $59,500-$80,500

To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
