Summary :\n A Director of Nursing (DON) in a Skilled Nursing
Facility (SNF) oversees the delivery of high-quality nursing care,
ensuring compliance with regulations, staffing, and operational
standards. The DON is responsible for leading the nursing team,
ensuring optimal patient outcomes, and maintaining a safe and
efficient environment for residents with varying levels of care
needs. \n\n Key Responsibilities : \n \n Manage and lead the
nursing staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and
performance evaluations. \n Develop, implement, and monitor
policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state,
and local regulations governing skilled nursing care. \n
Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and other
healthcare professionals to develop and maintain individualized
care plans for residents. \n Ensure the delivery of high-quality,
patient-centered care in accordance with regulatory standards and
best practices. \n Monitor clinical outcomes, quality of care, and
ensure continuous improvement initiatives to enhance resident
health and satisfaction. \n Oversee medication management,
treatment planning, and ensure adherence to infection control
protocols. \n Ensure appropriate care levels are provided to meet
the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents. \n Manage
and maintain accurate clinical documentation, ensuring compliance
with federal and state guidelines. \n Ensure compliance with state
and federal regulations regarding patient safety, reporting of
incidents, and adherence to healthcare standards. \n Foster a
culture of teamwork, accountability, and collaboration among staff
to ensure high standards of care are met. \n Serve as a liaison
between the nursing team, administration, and external regulatory
bodies. \n Participate in quality assurance and performance
improvement programs to enhance clinical outcomes. \n Assist with
budgeting and financial management related to nursing operations.
\n \n\n Qualifications : \n \n Education : Bachelor of Science in
Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
\n Licensure :\n \n Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the
state of practice. \n \n \n Certification :\n \n Certified Director
of Nursing (CDON) or Certified in Gerontology preferred. \n \n \n
Experience : Previous leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing
