a Certified Medical Assistant to serve as a Mobile Unit Specialist
on a mobile mammography unit, providing patient registration,
rooming, exam prep, education, and community outreach in
rural/underserved areas. Responsibilities include driving and
maintaining the mobile unit, ensuring equipment sterilization and
security, coordinating schedules and events, and supporting
logistics and maintenance. Requires MA training/certification, 1
year MA experience, BLS, WA MA-C credential and commercial driver's
licensure within specified timeframes; bilingual English/Spanish
preferred and supported benefits offered. We are seeking a Medical
Assistant to join our team as a Mobile Unit Specialist and support
the launch of our new Mobile Mammography Unit! This is a vital
expansion of our Women's Health services. This role is ideal for
someone who thrives in both clinical and community outreach
settings and is passionate about increasing access to preventive
care in underserved areas. This new service line is part of YVFWC's
commitment to whole-person, community-based care. By bringing
mammography directly to rural and underserved areas, we are
removing barriers to early detection and empowering women across
the Yakima Valley to take charge of their health. About YVFWC:

orthodontia, nutritional counseling, autism screening, and

and much more! What You'll Do: Drive and maintain the mobile unit ,
ensuring cleanliness, safety, and proper equipment sterilization
per guidelines. Support patient care by registering, rooming, and
preparing patients for exams, while promoting comfort and privacy.
Manage mobile unit logistics , including maintenance of the garage
and storage area, and ensure equipment security. Facilitate smooth
patient flow by coordinating schedules, resolving issues, and
supporting outreach events and health fairs. Educate patients on
cancer screenings, contributing to community health awareness.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Completion of a formal
training program that includes: At least 720 hours of medical
assistant training, Including a minimum of 160 hours of hands-on
clinical externship, From a school accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES At
least 1 year of work experience as a Medical Assistant is required
Experience operating and maintaining a recreation vehicle is
preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within
90 days of hire WA state MA-C credential within 180 days Other
Requirements: Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required at a level 10
Valid Driver's License and proof of automobile liability insurance
coverage is required at time of hire Class A or B Washington State
Commercial Driver's License is required within 90 days of hire
