Job Description Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist (Locums, WA) Job ID: Location: Seattle, WA Start Date: November 17, 2025 Contract Length: Ongoing Employment Type: Locum Tenens 1099 Coverage: Scheduled Clinical Call Position Overview We are seeking a Board-Certified Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join a Level 1 trauma facility in Seattle, WA. This is a heavily critical care focused position with primary attending responsibilities for ECMO and LVAD management in collaboration with three staff physicians. Schedule & Coverage Rotation: 1 week on / 3 weeks off (Monday 7 AM following Monday 7 AM) Inpatient coverage: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM Night call: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM Ongoing, long-term locums assignment Work Details Patient load: per shift Setting: Inpatient cardiology service EMR: Epic Team: Work alongside 3 staff cardiologists Procedures / Skills required: Full critical care management of advanced heart failure patients ECMO (VA & VV) Impella (all forms) Durable LVADs Participation in hospital shock program Primary attending responsibilities for ECMO & LVAD patients Requirements Board Certification: Required License: Active WA License or IMLC accepted Fellowship: Advanced Heart Failure/Cardiology fellowship preferred Certifications: BLS, ACLS Experience: Critical care level expertise in ECMO, LVAD, and Impella management Credentialing: 90 days Position Highlights Long-term locums opportunity with predictable rotation (1 week on, 3 off) Manage highly complex heart failure patients in a Level 1 trauma center Work with a collaborative, experienced cardiology team Excellent support staff and Epic EMR
