A hospital in Washington is seeking a skilled Pediatric Hospitalist for a 10-day locum tenens assignment starting on 07/18/2025. This role involves providing 24-hour call coverage for urgent needs, with initial dates from July 18th to 21st (with possible extension to July 22nd) and December 23rd to 29th. Additional dates from September to November are to be determined. The physician will be responsible for rounding in a nursery each morning, attending C-sections and routine deliveries, and covering ER call for pediatric admissions. The position requires comfort with managing newborns, handling occasional pediatric consults, and working in a facility with strong nursing support and 24/7 OB coverage. Job Details: Location: Washington Facility Type: Hospital Start Date: 07/18/2025 LOA: 10 days (with potential for additional dates) Provider Type Needed: Physician (Pediatric Hospitalist) Schedule: 24-hour call coverage Job Responsibilities and Duties: • Provide 24-hour pediatric hospitalist coverage • Conduct daily rounds in nursery, managing 1-3 newborns on average • Attend C-sections and routine deliveries • Manage pediatric ER consults and admissions (4-7 per month on average) • Coordinate transfer of complex or high-risk cases • Collaborate with nursing staff and on-call OB physicians • Utilize Epic electronic health record system for documentation • Ensure high-quality patient care and safety • Adapt to working in a new facility with modern amenities • Stay current with best practices in pediatric hospital medicine Additional Information: • Washington state license is mandatory for this position • Comfort with 24-hour call and newborn care is essential • Flexibility for additional coverage dates from September to November • Possibility of assignment extension Apply now to learn more!
