Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Brewster, WA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,277 per week Shift Information: 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Brewster, Washington, 98812! Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years Description: Provides professional nursing care for assigned patients in the emergency room. Triages each patient and determines priority of care based on physical, psychological, and social needs as well as factors influencing patient flow through the emergency care system. Performs focused assessment of chief complaints of each patient in a timely manner according to established triage guidelines. An emergency nurse must have the ability to make quick and accurate assessments about incoming patients, including both physical and mental health conditions. Provides safe and effective nursing care to the emergency room patient and/or outpatient. Provides direct patient care including but not limited to medication administration, transferring patients, and assisting with activities of daily living, wound management, line/tube/drain management, performing and assisting with procedures, and ensuring patient safety. Provides or assists with the initiation and maintenance of accurate concise records. Communicates in a timely fashion any pertinent assessment findings to the Providers. Carries out provider orders. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment. Administers medications while following the Five Medication Rights to help reduce the potential for medication errors. Interacts with patients, families, co-workers, and Providers with respect, dignity, and empathy. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs of patients and their families or caretakers. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan and the skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to the patient population served. Documents patient care according to standards and policies. Follows hospital policy when disposing of biohazardous materials, labeling, and handling all materials. Handles and is knowledgeable of all medical equipment utilized in the care of patients. Carries out other duties as assigned by supervising personnel. Holiday coverage may be required.
