working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in
Silverdale, Washington, 98383! Job Title: Registered Nurse
Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13
weeks Shift: 12 Hours Days Hours per Shift: 0700-1930 Experience:
Minimum 2 years License: WA License Required or Compact License
Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: NIHSS (Preferred but not
required) Description: Unit has 32 beds. The nursing ratios are
5:1, and may increase to 6:1 in the event of inpatient boarding.
Electronic Medical Record system used is Epic. Charge Nurse duties
included. Nurse Aides are present, typically 4-5 per shift. Weekend
requirement is every other weekend. Holiday shifts are required.
Scrub colors are professional; navy blue is preferred. Tele
monitors are in use. Nurses are responsible for reviewing telemetry
strips. Common drips managed include Heparin, Cardizem, Insulin
(not DKA protocol), and narcotics (comfort). Ventilator management
is not part of the role. A Hospitalist or Intensivist is available
in-house. An IV team is available as a cross-shift SWAT team to
assist staff. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7. Pharmacy
services are available 24/7. Floating between all Med Surg, PCU, ED
boarding, and temporary bed locations is required. Floor-specific
orientation provided, varies based on unit. Common diagnoses and
patient types include CHF, COPD, cellulitis, alcohol withdrawal,
kidney issues, dementia, and CVA. Close observation is provided
through camera monitoring. The hospital reserves the right to
cancel up to 4 shifts during the 13-week assignment. 5 Benefits of
