Health Director or Designee CLASSIFICATION: Salaried/Exempt HOURS:
Full Time Employee PAY RANGE: $79,040 to $85,000, DOQ (Depends on
Qualifications) FILING DEADLINE: OPEN UNTIL FILLED GENERAL
DESCRIPTION: Responsible for daily management and implementation of
the Tribe’s Substance Use Disorder (SUD) program including
supervising other assigned program staff (one SUDP and one possible
trainee) and providing direct services to a portion of the
program’s limited client base. The position is responsible for
insuring that Tribal SUD staff and program operations are in
compliance with applicable Federal, State and local statues,
procedures and policies. The designated Clinical Supervisor must be
currently Washington State licensed Substance Use Disorder
Professional with supervisory status. The position’s time is
estimated to be 30% supervisory and 70% direct services. The
position is responsible for insuring that SUD program activities
are conducted in a manner that is consistent with the Tribe’s SUD
program goals of 1) prevention 2) cessation of use 3) intervention
and 4) sustained recovery. Must have experience preparing SUD
action or program activity plans consistent with program priority

Applicant must meet minimum qualifications to be considered.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : 1. Must have Bachelor’s degree in Human
Services or Social Services with two years comparable management
and supervisory experience or an associate’s degree in the same
field with three years comparable management and supervisory work
experience. 2. Must have a clear current Washington State Substance
Use Disorder Professional license with supervisory authority. 3.
Must have experience assisting with preparation of SUD funding
applications for Federal, State or local entities. 4. Must have
experience managing comparable SUD grants or contracts, including
reporting requirements. 5. Must have good working knowledge of
current Washington State Substance Use Disorder Professional
provider and facility requirements. 6. Must have excellent
college-level verbal and written communication skills, including
report writing. 7. Must have excellent organizational and time
management skills. 8. Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft
Windows based software. 9. Must have current unrestricted
Washington State driver’s license with no alcohol or drug related
convictions within the past 8 years. 10. Must be able to
independently work within the program parameters and be willing to
work non-traditional hours to meet client availability schedules.
11. Must be able to pass a criminal background check and
pre-employment drug test. The Upper Skagit Indian Tribe can change
