Job Description:
The Banquet/Buffet Cook is responsible for preparing food for
all catering, banquet and meeting events. Duties include meal
planning, ensuring foods are prepared and cooked according to
recipe specifications while ensuring all food is appealing and
appetizing to casino guests. Performs additional job duties as
assigned by the department manager. Starting wage is $22.03/hr
increasing to $22.69/hr at successful completion of 90-day
orientation period.Education:High School Diploma or GED equivalent
requiredCulinary trainingExperience & Requirements:Two years
experience in line cooking for a dinner house is requiredExperience
in grilling, broiling, sauteing and steamingMust be fast and
capable of working in different functions at one time and be able
to coordinate cooking times with co-workersMust have a valid
Washington State food handler's cardAdditional education and or
experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of this
positionPhysical Requirements:Must be able to stand for longer than
8 hoursThe ability to lift up to 40 poundsMobility to climb stairs
on a routine basisMust be able to tolerate a smoke filled
environmentAdditional Requirements:Must be able to work all
scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidaysMust
be able to pass a pre-employment illegal drug screen and obtain a
Class IIIB license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming
Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission. The
