Who YOU are You are an experienced and talented human resources professional looking to join our fast growing team as a HR Manager. You are equal parts analytical thinker, creative problem solver, and people motivator. What does the HR Manager do? As HR Manager, you will be responsible for leading the company in the effective delivery of Human Resources management and programs. Responsibilities include recruiting and onboarding, talent and performance management, employee relations, job specific and developmental training, compensation management, and HR related legal compliance. This position strategically partners with production, operations, sales, and finance to position Joe's Garage Coffee for ongoing success and continuous improvement. You will report directly to the President and coordinate payroll processing via our HQ out of Baton Rouge, LA. What we EXPECT of you: In conjunction with the site leadership team, develops and administers company human resources plans, programs, processes, policies, procedures, and practices. Supports manufacturing, production, and warehouse HR goals and objectives Plans, implements, and communicates organizational changes effectively company wide Develops strategies to promote positive employee relations. Establishes and implements employee programs and promotes a climate of trust, cooperation, and confidence. Provides coaching, mentoring, and consulting services to managers and employees. Lead recruitment, compensation, performance management and other HR functions. Manages the performance review process. Coaches managers in performance management, reviewing performance, communicating performance expectations, and addressing performance issues. Communicates benefit programs, ensuring employees understand and access their benefit options. Manages recognition and reward programs for Washington based employees. Develops, establishes, and delivers training and development programs for managers and the general employee population. Provides managers with training to ensure compliance with fair employment labor laws and regulations. Establishes and maintains accurate employment records. Ensures the workplace is compliant with government regulations. Supports the safety and risk management programs. Manages the workers' compensation program. Generates management reports from HRIS system and completes analysis Attend functional department team meetings Participates in annual business planning Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field required. PHR/SPHR Certification strongly preferred Minimum 5 years previous human resources experience. Experience supporting a manufacturing environment preferred Must have working knowledge of Human Resources business standards, practices, policies, procedures and state and federal laws and regulations including but not limited to, Benefits, FMLA, COBRA, FLSA, ADA, ERISA, HIPAA, Workers' Compensation and 401(k) plans. HR Generalist level. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Second language is a plus. Excellent problem solving and decision making skills. Ability to communicate concepts and give clear direction across all levels of company. Ability to adapt to a changing environment. Proactive, hands on approach to problem solving.
