a Software Engineer, High Performance Computing to join our team in
Kent, WA.This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense,
Space & Security (BDS) business organization, specifically the
Satellite Mission Software team.We are seeking a highly motivated
individual with building highly scalable analysis pipelines,
optimized for High Performance Computing (HPC) resources. You will
work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of software engineers,
analysts, and technology experts to build and deploy tools for
complex government mission analyses.This position requires a
motivated, focused individual with a desire to help maximize the
quality and quantity of data available to Boeing and its customers.
In this role, you will act as an HPC Subject Matter Expert and work
broadly across multiple teams and programs to support tool
development and acceleration while helping to foster best practices
across the teams' tool development.We work in a casual but

range of experience levels including Experienced and Senior
Software Engineers.Position Responsibilities:
- Design, integrate, configure, and maintain High Performance
Computing (HPC) resources with modern cluster management tools
(e.g. Slurm)
- Advise on best practices and participate in tool development
alongside dedicated modeling & simulation teams, maximizing
scalability of analysis tools
- Develop HPC computing strategies for cloud-based compute,
GPU-accelerated computing, etc. and search for opportunities to
institute these tools across programsThis position is expected to
be 100% onsite.-- The selected candidate will be required to work
onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires
a current Tier 5 (T5) formerly known as a Single Scope --Background
Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires
candidate to agree to enter a Continuous Evaluation Program.Basic
Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):--
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited
university in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics
or chemistry
- 3 or more years of software development experience, including
resource management and optimization
- 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent
combination of education and experience.
- Experience building HPC pipelines for local or cloud-based
computer resourcesPreferred Qualifications (Desired
Skills/Experience):--
- 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent
combination of education and experience.
- Comptia Security+ Certification
- Experience managing technology and workflow for classified
programs
- Deep familiarity with cloud environments and tools (AWS
preferred)
- Experience applying GPU-accelerated processing techniques
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams alongside other
engineers and scientists
- Experience using team collaboration tools including Git, JIRA,
Confluence, Artifactory, etc.Typical Education/Experience Level 3,
ExperiencedEducation/experience typically acquired through advanced
technical education from an accredited course of study in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
(e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work
experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and
experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In
the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not
required, accreditation standard.Typical Education/Experience Level
4, SeniorEducation/experience typically acquired through advanced
technical education from an accredited course of study in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
(e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work
experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and
experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7
years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is
the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
