seeking a Software Engineer, Data Science (Experienced/Senior) to
join the Satellite Mission Software team located in Kent, WA .This
position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space &
Security (BDS) business organization.We are seeking a highly
motivated individual with experience developing complex traditional
and machine learning algorithms. You will work alongside a
multi-disciplinary team of software engineers, data scientists, and
technology experts to build and deploy cutting edge mission support
data analytics software for government space missions.This position
requires motivated individuals who want to apply state of the art
Machine Learning and Statistics to build new capabilities to
quickly meet customer needs. In this role, you will work to rapidly
develop and deploy AI tools in an Agile team while working to
uphold rigorous testing and clean software practices. You will
develop and expand existing machine learning pipelines while
learning about and adapting to complex mission applications.We work

Associate, Experienced and Senior Level Software Engineers. Primary
Responsibilities:
- Develop and configure machine learning, cloud-based data
processing pipelines, to support customer mission needs
- Leverage modern computer vision and/or natural language
processing capabilities for fusing disparate data to identifying
patterns or anomalies
- Improve performance of existing software capabilities and
optimize for available cloud resources
- Implement rigorous software testing and validation
campaigns
- Build strong mission intuition and guide model design and
implementationThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The
selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the
listed location options. Security Clearance and Export Control
Requirements: This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5),
formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)
(U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a
Continuous Evaluation program. Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited
university in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a
related field.
- 3 or more years of software development experience including
Python
- Experience deploying AI algorithms, with a focus on the
application of machine learning methods to complex domains
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent
combination of education and experience
- Development experience with Python machine learning libraries
(PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, etc.)
- Experience applying GPU-accelerated processing (eg CUDA)
- Computer vision using deep learning algorithms (eg
GluonCV)
- Experience with AWS, Elastic MapReduce (EMR), EC2, S3,
Sagemaker
- Excellent communication, software readability, and
documentation practices
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams alongside other
engineers and scientists
- Experience using team collaboration tools including Git, JIRA,
Confluence, Artifactory, etc Typical Education/Experience Level 3,
Experienced: Education/experience typically acquired through
advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
(eg Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work
experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and
experience (eg PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In
the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not
required, accreditation standard. Typical Education/Experience
Level 4, Senior: Education/experience typically acquired through
advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
(eg Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work
experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and
experience (eg PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7
years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is
the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
required, accreditation standard. Relocation: This position offers
