Program Director - Fluid Systems - New Glenn Upper Stage Kent,
As the Program Director for the New Glenn GS2 fluids system
development, you will report to the Senior Director and have
responsibility for executing the design, development, test and
production of the cryogenic fluids system. This position will
encompass all aspects of program management to include cost,
schedule, technical design and risk management as well as working
with Blue Origin internal organizations and suppliers to deliver a
qualified fluids system. You will set team technical direction
requiring a wide application of advanced engineering principles,
theories and concepts and knowledge of other related disciplines.
You will lead and manage the team with impact on all aspects of
launch vehicle fluid systems engineering. This position will
directly impact the history of space exploration and will require
your dedicated commitment and attention towards safe and reliable
Deliver the flight qualified GS2 fluids system on time, within
budget and meet system requirements.
Meet and exceed aggressive schedule, cost and performance
Plan and coordinate the resources necessary to successfully
design, build, test, and certify the New Glenn second stage fluids
Lead team in source selection for all fluid systems procured
commodities, supplier selection and management.
Manage the GS2 fluid system design and development through the
entire lifecycle to include production.
Identify, track and mitigate risks to technical performance,
cost and schedule.
Lead team to develop and document fluid system design to support
operations, integration, manufacturing, and quality.
Lead and develop the team through hiring, training and mentoring
while providing technical leadership.
Meet recurring cost target and manage risk and opportunities to
per flight cost requirement.
Support commercial and government launch customer requests for
information, proposals and alternate use cases.
Establish, maintain, and report on team safety products, fault
trees, reliability, component level failure mode assessments, and

B.S. in an aerospace, mechanical, or systems engineering-related
field, with 15+ years of complex cryogenic fluid system development
Highly organized leader with excellent technical written and
verbal communication skills with demonstrated track record of
resourcefulness, strong business and technical judgement and bias
for action from their previous assignments.
Successful experience in hiring and developing great people with
diverse skill sets and demonstrated ability to motivate and
organize effective teams and resolve conflicts.
Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
and ability to travel in support of the program, customer and
Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams during
design, procurement and build cycles of aerospace/aeronautical
Experience in project planning and successful execution of
projects to cost and schedule targets.
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional
relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident
(current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as
a refugee or granted asylum.
MBA, Program Management Professional (PMP) certification and
Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience. Experience with
critical path scheduling, IMP/IMS, risk management, requirements
management and Cost Account Management such as EVM.
M.S. in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or
systems engineering and experience with launch vehicle development,
production and operations.
Strong business management acumen and experience managing large,
geographically dispersed programs with large subcontractors.
Familiarity with design drawing and GD&T practices, CREO and
Windchill design lifecycle tools and structural and fluid/thermal
analysis tools and practices such as ANSYS and Thermal Desktop.
