Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin---s vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit EarthAs part of a diverse and hardworking team of of specialists you will coordinate, build and develop Blue Origin's Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) program. Use your sophisticated and advanced knowledge of ESD controls, processes and tools to implement a robust control program at Blue Origin. Coordinate the corporate program at HQ in Kent, WA and associated facilities. Develop, implement, maintain, and coordinate appropriate ESD protocols across Business Units in conjunction with the Quality Assurance organization. As well as continuously promoting ESD awareness and cultural improvements.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required Qualifications:An Authority (SME) on all Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) control issuesKnowledge of ESD theories and standards, including ANSI/ESD S20.20, JESD 625, MIL-STD-1686, etc.Possess an understanding of basic electrical theories and concepts, including resistance, voltage and currentUnderstand and is able to use basic measurement equipment, including surface resistance meters, static field meters, event detectors, ground integrity meters, data loggers, etc.Perform overstress analyses of suspect ESD events taking into account item sensitivitiesBuild and maintain integral documentation practicesAssist in the development and implementation of awareness training curriculumParticipate and lead design activities to ensure contract requirements are being addressed and that acceptable design mitigation practices are being followedCollaborate with customers on ESD issues when required and acts as the focal points for questions, company wideUnderstand the major models (e.g. human body model (HBM), charged coupled device model (CDM) and machine model (MM), charged board models, cable discharge events) and their application to production processes, overstress analysis, ESD failures and risk mitigation strategies.Supervise the installation and movement of a variety of ESD equipmentAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusionRequirements:Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in spaceB.S. in Engineering, Physics, or other Natural ScienceMinimum 5-years--- experience with ESD Control ProgramsMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Desired:ESD Engineer Certification and/or ESD Association CertificationBlue Origin offers a phenomenal work environment and awesome culture with competitive compensation, benefits, 401K, and relocation.
