Analytics (IT&DA) is currently looking for a Sys Design &
Integration Specialist (DevOps) to join our team in Kent, WA.,
Seattle, WA., North Charleston, SC., Seal Beach, CA., Philadelphia,
PA., or Hazelwood, MO.Exciting opportunity to join the Integration
Solutions Service (ISS) organization, securely connecting global
stakeholders to mission-critical data!This position is for a System
Integration Specialist and will be supporting platform operations,
integration, and build of our incumbent and future API Management
technology stack. - This business-critical role's primary mission
is to ensure a secure, reliable, and integrated platform for
development teams to integrate their applications across enterprise
to drive automation and quality in our business. - This position
will also have exposure to our other ISS service offerings not
limited to Microservices, Streaming, SOA/Orchestration, Blockchain,
and Managed File Transfer. -This position requires support of
global production operations which includes working across teams to
troubleshoot and resolve issues in production, including off-hours
and on-call.Experience as an Operations Engineer is helpful, but
not required. We encourage those with diversity in their work
experience and a passion to learn to apply to this position. This
position requires someone that is resourceful and self-starting. -
The ideal candidate will also love tinkering, discovery, and
continuously learning new technologies.The technology stack roadmap
requires using most or all of the following technologies. - As a
result, candidate hands-on experience with two or more of these
technologies is preferred, and also Boeing offers exceptional
training opportunities to learn these skills:1. API Management or
similar Application Integration experience as a developer or
operations specialist.2. Cloud Deployment (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP,
etc) and Integration.3. Containerization (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker)
and CI/CD Automation.Position Responsibilities:
- Performs product and component management to ensure technical
viability and cost-effectiveness from the point where it is
evaluated through implementation and support, to retirement.
- Uses technical expertise to help business partners and others
by answering technical questions regarding the usage,
troubleshooting and functionality of delivery systems products to
ensure effective implementation and usage of delivery system
products.
- Applies knowledge of computing systems to choose appropriate
troubleshooting techniques to resolve complex, escalated delivery
systems problems.
- Works with appropriate product supplier for enhancements and
issues not resolved in-house.
- Chooses appropriate computing products and methods to ensure
requirements are met for security, problem management,
capacity/performance management and operational management.
- Documents resolutions/analyses according to support procedures.
Supports metric development and management to support quality in
delivery and sustainment.
- Operates using Agile methodologies (Scrum / SAFe -), both
independently and as a team.
- Develops solutions to support Software Product deployment,
management, and modernization.
- Selected candidate will be supporting global production
operations, and will need to support off-hours as required,
including on-call support.The position must meet Export Control
compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22
C.F.R. - 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen,
lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.This position is
hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to
perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. -
This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially
change in the future.Basic Qualifications (Required
Skills/Experience):
- Demonstrated record of supporting Information Technology
Systems Integration and delivery with programming skills including
some mix of Java, XML/XSLT, Shell, Ansible, Javascript, SQL.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting, researching, isolating
and then resolving issues with multi-layered technology in a
demanding production environment.
- Experienced with Technical Writing, data architecture, mapping,
and systems modeling.
- Ability to support global production operations, including
off-hours and on-call support.Preferred Qualifications (Desired
Skills/Experience):
- API Management or similar Application Integration experience as
a developer or operations specialist including troubleshooting
multilayer complex integrations in a demanding production
environment.
- Functional knowledge of Security protocols (SSL, JWT,
SAML).
- Experience executing Cloud Deployment (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP,
etc) and Integration.
- Experience executing Containerization (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker)
and CI/CD Automation.
- Experience successfully operating in an Agile environment
(Scrum / SAFe -) on a team.Typical Education / Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical
education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related
work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education
and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience,
9 years' related work experience, etc.).Relocation: Relocation
assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
