Coordinator to administer and organize delivery of CO and
assessment of understanding life in America to newly arrived
refugees, SIV's, Humanitarian Parolees and asyleesCompensation:
$26.75 DOEROLE & RESPONSIBILITIESReasonable accommodations may be

essential functions.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Coordinate the delivery of the cultural orientation to newly
arrived refugees and SIVs, (Humanitarian Parolees) and asylees from
all over the world
- Create and implement new evaluation tools used to assess
current orientation retention
- Provide orientation to newly arrived refugees and other
immigrant groups in classroom format and one-on-one instruction, in
person or remotely
- Initiate redesign and maintenance of orientation delivery
system and curriculum
- Coordinate with resettlement specialists and interpreters to
insure attendance and delivery of the cultural orientation
materials to newly arrived refugees, SIV's, (Humanitarian Parolees)
and asylees
- Conduct assessment and follow up with participants on incorrect
responds
- Maintain attendance records and update participation in the
appropriate platforms
- Conduct feedback survey with program participants
- Identify and address barriers to successful resettlement, as
necessary
- Train other members of the team (resettlement specialist,
volunteers and interns) who assist in delivering CO or CO
Assessments
- Other related tasks as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- A desire to serve refugees in support of the mission of World
Relief
- Bachelor's degree in social work or related field
preferred
- Proficiency in a refugee language highly desirable
- Flexibility and the ability to learn quickly in a fast paced
work environment
- Good oral and written English communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work sensitively and effectively in
cross-cultural settings
- Previous experience with refugees highly desirable
- Good time management and multi-tasking skills
- Current driver's license, and clean driving record
required.
