Machine Operator1st ShiftDIRECT HIREJob Fair January 26, 2023 (9am - Noon )POSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for operation, setup and adjustment of production equipment as required. Assists setups, tool room and maintenance with debugging of equipment and tooling.CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Machine OperatorUses basic processes to set up, adjust, and operate various machine tools to form and/ormachine aerospace quality detail hardware.Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerform well defined setups and non-complex operations using engine lathes, millingmachines, punch press, forming press, shear, press brake, expander and/or other machineryon production hardware.Detect faulty processes.Interpret and follow basic written instructions, sketches, drawings and documents.Use precision instruments to check tolerances and quality of parts.Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.Responsible for ensuring proper documentation is entered on manufacturing planning(including correct quantities) and paperless timecard system.Work under direct oversight.Skills, Education and Required Experience Basic understanding of manufacturing planning and sketches.Knows when to stop and ask for clarification.Understand proper setup and use of tooling associated with machines.Requires familiarity with machine tools, precision instruments and good manualdexterity.Required to perform shop mathematics associated with machining operations.May have a demonstrated expertise in a particular machine type, or work on one singlepurpose machine.Working ConditionsDemonstrate proper and safe operation of equipment, and personal protective equipmentincluding, but not limited to, safety glasses/full face shield, hearing protection, and gloves asrequired.Physical Requirements The machine operator performs physical activities that require considerable use of arms andlegs and frequent movement of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds,balancing and handling of material.Nesco Resource and affiliates (Lehigh G.I.T Inc, and Callos Resource, LLC) is an equal employment opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, age, or veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristics with respect to employment opportunities.
