Job Title: Safety Coordinator, Maritime Shipyard
Department: Safety
Reports to: EHS Manager
Position Summary:
Safety coordinator will assess the health and safety standards in
our workplace. The safety coordinator is also responsible for
educating employees on how to follow health and safety protocols
more closely. To be successful as a safety coordinator you must
have attention to detail and have excellent communication skills. A
good safety coordinator has a methodical approach to improving
health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities are to ensure safety policies and company
rules are enforced, and to:

Work is conducted in a dynamic, fast-paced office setting with
moderate to loud noise levels from production activity in the
shipyard. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Barge chemical
environment. Requires prolonged kneeling, standing, walking,
twisting, climbing. Able to work in confined space, heights and
operate equipment efficiently and safely. He/she may be required to
work more than 8-hour shifts and weekend work.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While in production areas the person will be exposed to all weather
conditions, noise, dusts, and odors. Reasonable accommodations may
