As a Material Damage Claims Representative 2, you will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and bring Material Damage claims to a final resolution. You will handle claims for both first party and third-party claimants, including, but not limited to, liability investigations and damage assignments. Responsibilities include:Promptly and effectively handling to conclusion all assigned claims in accordance with prescribed authorization and claims best practices.Making decisions within delegated authority as outlined in company policies and procedures.Initiating and conducting follow-ups via proficient use of claims systems and related business systems.Verifying proper policy coverages and applies best claims practices to conclude assigned cases in accordance with company guidelines. Adhering to high standards of professional conduct while providing delivery of superior claims service.Opening, closing, and adjusting reserves and payments in accordance with company practices designed to ensure reserve adequacy.Maintaining current knowledge of guidelines in the claims function, policy changes and modifications, and relevant laws and regulations in the states in which GIA does business.Partners with other groups to identify fraud and recovery opportunities.Qualifications:Demonstrated proficiency in claims adjustment with a proven track record of effectively managing and resolving insurance claims.Proven experience in delivering exceptional customer service with a commitment to upholding our customer value proposition.
