Overview
Verathon is looking for a Buyer II to become the newest member of
our Purchasing Department located in Bothell, WA. In this role, you
will perform a variety of purchasing assignments, to ensure we
achieve our corporate goals relating to raw inventory availability,
supplier costs, on-time delivery and quality. If you are an
experienced and driven supply chain professional looking for a new

Responsibilities
* Place purchase orders for direct & indirect materials while
ensuring supplier commitments are met
* Manage assigned inventory within predefined Min/Max levels and
countermeasure as needed
* Negotiates with suppliers to mitigate potential delivery issues
before escalating to leadership
* Analyze supplier responses and make recommendations to business
when there are constraints
* Closely monitor supplier OTD and escalate as needed
* Escalate EOL/LTB decisions and associated supplier negotiations
(e.g. pricing, lead-time)
* Collaborate with A/P team members to promptly reconcile
PO/invoice discrepancies
* Work with MRB team to process RTV's in a timely fashion
* Respond to and update ECR's and ECO's as needed
* Work with Suppliers and Verathon employees to return
non-conforming material to suppliers (RMA Returns)
* Identify potential supply chain risks and offer creative
solutions
* Participate in Supplier Business Review meetings as needed
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree preferred
* 3 years minimum of purchasing experience
* Experience purchasing direct materials as well as indirect
materials (consumables used by Manufacturing)
* Experience managing VMI programs preferred
* Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers
* Demonstrated ability to prepare and present information
* Ability to create partnerships with suppliers and internal
stakeholders
* Understanding of MRP, bill of materials, engineering change order
processes
* Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. Epicor experience
a plus
* Travel up to 10% of the time is required
* APICS and ISM Certifications are preferred Why Join Us? Be part
