Pacific Power Group is looking for a Journey Level Marine Field Technician who will focus on a variety of marine applications in support of our company's continued growth in the Seattle Puget Sound region.Sign-on Bonus: up to $10,000, based on skills and experience.Salary: $30.00 to $41.00 per hour, based on skills and experience. An additional $1.50 per hour when working in the field.Pacific Power Group is engaged in the sales and service of marine power solutions; our markets include commercial fishing, yachts, ferry, barge, tour, leisure, tug and tow, research and defense. We cover the entire U.S. as far north as Alaska and as far south as select locations in the Caribbean. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service to all of our clients and are characterized by steadfast integrity and a deep commitment to providing distinctive value through the talent and expertise of our people.Benefits include: Health insurance, Paid Time Off ("PTO"), Paid Holiday's, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Life Insurance, 401(k) matching, Referral Program, Flexible Spending Account, Health Savings Account, Parental Leave, Professional Development Assistance, Employee Assistance Program.What you will do:Determine unit condition by conducting inspections & diagnostic tests, identifying deficiencies.Complete engine overhauls as well as other repairs identified during the diagnostic process.Verify performance by conducting test drives, sea trials and making necessary adjustments as needed.Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service & parts options.Maintains vehicle records with an accurate documentation of service and repairs.Maintain a safe & organized work environment.Accept ownership for accomplishing new & different requests & exploring value added opportunities.Communicate while on site with customer in a profession manner.MTU engine commissioning trials. What we need from you:Fluent with electrical multi-meters.5+ years' experience working with marine large bore diesel engines.Strong diesel engine electronic control experience essential.Strong Lap top/PC skills required.Must display exceptional customer service skills.Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license and must be insurable.Must work well independently as well as part of a team.Preferred strong MTU experience.Preferred experience with Diasys software.Preferred experience with MTU MCS/RCS electronics.Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.Pacific Power Group shall abide by the requirements of 40 CFR 60-1.4(a), 60-300.5(a) and 60-741.5(a).Pacific Power Group will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.
