Maintenance Technician Do you have previous Maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment? Do you enjoy making sure that repairs and preventative maintenance are done in a timely fashion to avoid loss of productivity? Do you enjoy inspecting and repairing machinery to make sure everyone is safe?If you answered yes to these questions, then we should talk!ASSA ABLOY has just added a Maintenance Technician position to our Northwest Regional Manufacturing facility based in Kent, Washington.ASSA ABLOY, a global leader in opening access solutions focuses on the manufacturing of steel doors and frames within the commercial market. Catering to industries within the hospitality, healthcare, sports stadiums, and universities arenas.There has never been a more exciting time to join the team!In this position, you will help to ensure that all plant equipment is maintained and in good operating condition. Helping to minimize downtime, optimize production, and ensure that all applicable safety, loss prevention, and other guidelines are being followed.You would also:

  • Perform required maintenance and repair on all machinery and equipment as well as building structure
  • Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment and perform planned maintenance of all mechanical aspects of plant, office, machinery and equipment
  • Adjust and repair clutches, brakes, lubricating systems, paint systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and pumps
  • Install new equipment as needed, ensuring it is production ready and meets all safety guidelines
  • Perform basic electrical work
  • Actively work and participate on safety and improvement projects
  • Be able to provide after-hours support and guidance to the maintenance and engineering teams.
  • Perform special assignments and projects as assigned
  • Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees
  • Assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct The Skills and Experience you need:
    • High School Diploma, GED Equivalent
    • Completion of a Technical School program and/or a certification of an Industrial Maintenance program preferred
    • 3+ years previous industrial maintenance experience required
    • Previous experience or working knowledge of CNC punching machines, lasers, forming presses, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.
    • Ability to troubleshoot PLC programming with RS logic control
    • Previous experience/exposure to reading schematics and drawings. Specifically, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic
    • Ability to understand mechanical concepts and reason out solutions to problems
    • Previous experience using a work order system
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills
