Your responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:

  • Utilize the Business Unit ERP system to manage standard inventory items and meet stated inventory objectives.
  • Manage and develop relationships with Suppliers to ensure contract requirements are fulfilled
  • Effectively communicate, coordinate, and collaborate with business partners, suppliers, intermediaries, third-party service providers, and customers.
  • Evaluate suppliers by considering price, lead times, delivery performance and other criteria
  • Create Supplier bi-annual Performance and Customer Service Evaluations
  • Analyze data, create reports and presentations to effectively communicate ideas and proposals.
  • Review inventory requests, production schedules, purchase requisitions, orders, and other documents to coordinate purchasing activities.
  • Perform risk assessments and establish mitigation plans.
  • Drive continuous process improvements within role and with suppliers.
  • Understand corporate objectives, including Sales, Operations and Purchasing.
  • Understand the global supply base and supply chain.
    Your profile
    • 2+ years purchasing, sourcing, buying, or procurement experience, required
    • Experience in the metals or aerospace industry, preferred
    • Prior experience with an ERP based purchasing software system, highly preferred
    • Prior experience analyzing data / reports and drawing useful insights, required
    • Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and v-lookups, a plus
    • Strong proficiency with computer and software programs, including all Microsoft Applications, required
    • High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills, including the ability to comfortably address customer service issues face-to-face with clients
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to capture and convey information to a variety of audiences
    • Flexibility, adaptability, and multitasking skills needed, including the ability to juggle multiple, urgent requests
    • Autonomous, self-motivated, and goal driven
    • Ability to lead collaboratively and influence change
