Within Puget Sound's secured program area walls, we create the next
generation products and services for the Boeing Defense, Space &
Security business. We work with proprietary customers in the
development of the next-generation technologies in space. We focus
on both rapid prototyping and program development to demonstrate a
host of mission-focused technologies for a variety of customers.
You will play a key role with a group that works all facets of
engineering from concept development, proposal writing,
requirements and design, build, integration, test, and
demonstration of products in their relevant environments.
As an Engineer or Scientist with Boeing, you will work with a
growing team and develop or work on state-of-the-art components,
products, subsystems, and/or systems, to support the most critical
programs across the Boeing Defense and Security enterprise. We

world and support products built at the work location, or within
the United States.

Position Responsibilities
Position responsibilities will vary by role. But as a general ideal
of position responsibilities, it could include:
Works with customers to develop and document electronic and
electrical system requirements.
Analyzes and translates requirements into system architecture,
hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and
functional requirements.
Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and
compliance with requirements.
Supports fielded hardware and software over the entire product
lifecycle.
Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future
product designs to meet projected requirements.
These positions are expected to be 100% onsite. The selected
candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed
location options.
Some worksites, such as Kent, participate in Boeing's optional 9/80
schedule rotation. 9/80 is a rotation in which employees can work 9
hour shifts, 8 days per pay period (bi-weekly) and receive every
other Friday off.
Some positions may require travel. Travel may be required up to 10%
of the time; Domestically and/or Internationally depending on
business needs.
This position requires an active Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI U.S.
Security Clearance (A U.S. Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI Security
Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered
active.) -OR- a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single
Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required)
and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation
program.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or
physics
One or more of the following: A Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a
Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) and agreement to enter
a Continuous Evaluation program, a U.S. Top Secret Security
Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months and/or a U.S.
Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance that has been active in the past
24 months
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
Experience in Electrical Engineering or Electrical/Electronic
Systems Engineering (Guideline Below) Level 1: Less than 1 year
Level 2: 1+ years
Level 3: 3+ years
Level 4: 5+ years
Level 5 & 6: 10+ years
Experience working with space programs and/or aerospace
programs
Professional communication skills with aptitude or experience
creating and presenting technical presentations to various groups
of people
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Typical Education/Experience

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical
education from an accredited course of study in engineering,
computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor)
and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an
equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.
PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work
experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred,
although not required, accreditation standard.

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical
education from an accredited course of study in engineering,
computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor)
and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an
equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.

although not required, accreditation standard.

education from an accredited course of study in engineering,

Relocation

Summary Pay Range Levels 4-6: $128,000 - $245,000
