Surest (Formerly Bind) is actively seeking a unique individual to help drive consultative sales for our innovative health insurance product. We are looking for a person who will pursue a deep understanding of Bind's product, clearly and effectively identify and communicate the needs of Surest's employer prospects, and present strategic solutions to meet those needs.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Sell into large, self-insured employers (-3,000+ employees) using a consultative sales approach
  • Clearly articulate complex information in a simple concise way to a wide range of audiences, from C-suite executives to benefits managers, brokers and consultants
  • Drive the sales process from opening the door to close of the sale and maintain the relationship with the account partner team.
  • Leverage analytics to clearly explain Surest (Formerly Bind)'s value proposition and financial model to employers (and their broker/consultant as needed)
  • Actively collaborate cross-functionally across Surest (Formerly Bind) -teams to share market needs, develop new tools and resources to support the consultative sales process, and refine and improve Surest (Formerly Bind)'s value proposition
  • Support data-driven sales approach at Bind by clearly communicating and documenting meetings, account updates, and pipeline status in -Surest (Formerly Bind)'s CRM
  • Execute and support a variety of distribution strategies including direct to employer and jointly through UHC partners, and through professional and industry partnerships and events
  • Present at regional and national conferences and other events to grow Surest (Formly Bind)'s market presence including creating, sourcing, applying, and/or obtaining invites for those events

    Required Qualifications:

    • 4-year college degree
    • Health Insurance license to sell stop-loss in at least your state of employment or ability to become licensed within 60 days of date of hire
    • 5+ years of experience working in B2B sales, business development, consulting, account management or other client-facing role in the large employer (3000+EE) healthcare market
    • Understanding of health care / benefits industry constituents and their needs
    • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance.       Preferred Qualifications:

      • MBA
      • Knowledge and experience in a healthcare environment with HIPAA requirements -
      • Ability to identify key priorities and opportunities for action in an innovating environment that includes ambiguity and change
      • Ambitious and willing to rapidly learn
      • Self-starter
      • Communicate effectively, excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal

        Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Nevada residents is $70,000 to $140,000. Role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
